Members

The 35 to 40 members of the Trail Maple Leaf Band come from a 40 km radius helping to pull together the villages and towns of Fruitvale/Montrose, Warfield, Rossland, Castlegar and Trail. We have performed at concerts, parades and other civic functions in these communities. As an organization, we hold an Annual General Meeting in December to elect officers. There is also the occasional social get-together and an annual Family Day picnic in June.
Practices are held in the MacIntyre Room, Cominco Arena,
Downtown Trail, every Monday at
Music
We began as a marching band
and a large part of our music repertoire continues to be marches. But these days we seldom march and so many of
our pieces are now for concerts. The charts are often medleys from well known
shows and movies. Our director also
composes and arranges pieces for our band.
